“We live near our house about 10 feet between the houses on each side. Just drive across the country. We shoot our guns out in the creek. My say, it’s just us.”

A great floor plan from the start, our architects and designers believe that with change, it can go from elegant to elegant with a few well-designed pencils. While some changes are small, others are more impactful and immediately noticeable.

The kitchen, for starters, has two design options. The traditional kitchen design features a cutting-edge island with plenty of pantry space and tons of counter space. The new kitchen includes a built-in pantry and a splashback between the dining room and kitchen. With wine storage, a large bath and loads of other cabinetry, storage and cupboards, guests rave about the comfort the kitchen brings to the home. And, we couldn’t agree more!

Other floor-to-ceiling upgrades include a new Master Suite with two walk-in closets, a Master Bath with a private commode, two second baths and an optional soaking tub (the ultimate everyday experience!) . To increase the size of the second floor loft, we chose a straight staircase and completed the turn of the staircase and landing in the original design. The loft – currently a 29′ by 18′ room with a window – offers endless opportunities to suit any lifestyle. A game room, a craft room, a cozy and private space for guests and visiting grandchildren in the third bedroom upstairs…the options are endless.

Kitchen Design Trends To Take From Model Homes

To match the increase in floor space, the interior design of the Franklin must be very high. The interior design style was inspired by the Danish word “hygge”, which translates to “a good sense of coziness (feeling of comfort and convenience) from the creation of simple things like lighting lighting candles, cooking or spending time at home with your family.” The Franklin has really got “hygge”! From the moment you enter the home, your experiences will be kept in a pleasant and beautiful display. Inviting tones of warm colors combined with earthy neutrals create the perfect amount of fun. The kitchen really shines with blown glass appliances on the island, white Cambria countertops and a bold, copper-y backsplash in the shape of pens! The warmth of the copper is complimented by the shimmer of the metal tile creating a beautiful and unexpected combination.

But the best way to experience the latest Franklin is to visit Traditions of America in Cranberry today! Arrange a trip. Your thoughts will be happy.

“We have gone from the traditional kitchen, where one person prepares food to a multi-purpose room and a large kitchen, and this evolution has changed us from looking at one work triangle to triangles communities, or ‘zones,'” says Mary Jo Peterson, principal, Mary Jo Peterson Inc. “With that in mind, we need to expand the possibilities and focus on adding more comfortable spaces in the kitchen.”

One wall. Originally called the “Pullman kitchen,” the single-wall kitchen design is often found in studio or loft spaces because it’s the most conservative. Cabinets and tools are kept on the same wall. Most of the new designs have an island, which transforms the space into a Galley style with a walkway.

Cabinets and appliances are kept on the same wall in this space-saving design, especially visible in the office or loft areas.

Galley. This beautiful, “lean” design is perfect for small spaces and single kitchens. A mobile kitchen, also known as a walk-in kitchen, is characterized by two walls facing each other – or two parallel shelves with a walkway between them. Galleys make good use of every square inch of space, and corner cabinets are no problem to set up, which can add to a cabinetry budget.

Open Kitchen Ideas

L-Nani. The L-shaped kitchen solves the problem of maximizing the corner space, and is a smart design for small and small kitchens. The L-shaped kitchen has countertops on two adjacent walls that face each other, creating an L. The “legs” of the L can be as long as you like, while maintaining them under 12 to 15 feet you can do it properly. use the space.

With an L-shaped design, you will get rid of traffic: The kitchen will not become a corridor because it is not possible logistically. Additionally, you can add a dining room and multiple workspaces to this plan. However, avoid this design if your kitchen is large and can support other configurations, such as adding an island, or if multiple cooks will be using the space. Download a sample floor plan.

Horse carriage. The horseshoe, or U shape, has three walls of cabinet/work space. Today, this design has evolved from three walls to an L-shaped kitchen with an island forming the third “wall.” “This plan works well because it’s easy to drive and work around the island,” said Mary Jo Peterson, principal, Mary Jo Peterson Inc. Island. A functional kitchen island can accommodate appliances and cabinets for storage – and always add a new layer of functionality to a kitchen. It can provide a place to eat (with dishes), prepare food (with a stove) and store drinks (with a wine cooler). The island can transform a single wall kitchen into a galley style, and an L-shaped design into a horseshoe.

Kitchen Designs For Today’s Lifestyles

Kitchen islands are functional, but the number 1 misconception about islands is that everyone has them. In fact, most kitchens are not large enough to include this feature. Download a sample floor plan.

Peninsula. The peninsula kitchen has an adjacent island, which turns an L-shaped design into a horseshoe, or turns a shoe kitchen into a G-shaped design. Peninsulas work the same as islands but offer more space in kitchens that don’t allow for the square footage of a real island. Download a sample floor plan.

Think beyond the usual functional triangle, kitchens come in many different shapes – from the wide rescue car to U- or L-shaped kitchens for cooking spaces that are curvy, pentagonal, wedge shape or the outermost part of the box.
