The Houston market has seven stores undergoing major rebranding and renovations at the end of September, spokeswoman Stacey Sullivan said.

“At Home Garden continues Ridge’s rich, 30-year legacy of home decor, inspiring our customers to create a home that reflects their unique personality and style, inside and out,” said Sullivan.

Since Garden Ridge Pottery was founded in 1979, the brand has continued to expand in its home market of Texas and beyond, he said.
“Most Texans are familiar with the town of Garden Ridge, where the brand originally got its name,” Sullivan said. “As we continue our aggressive growth of new stores, both in Texas and across the country, we sought a name that better reflected our wide selection of home decor products for every room, in every style, every day at affordable prices.”
He said the new stores will serve a variety of styles, from quirky and traditional to modern and exotic.
“With the transition, we are expanding our range to provide customers with a variety of styles and contemporary offerings to suit all budgets,” he said. “Along with our new name, the store has been redesigned to improve the shopping experience, making it easier for our customers to shop and feel ‘At Home.’ “

He said the new concept has a more welcoming atmosphere and more advanced maps and signage to guide shoppers through each store.
Sullivan also said more than $20 million is being spent to reinvent the brand by changing the exterior of all existing Garden Ridge stores to reflect the At Home brand.
“In the Houston market, we spent more than $1.5 million to rebrand our seven territories,” added Sullivan.
He said the store has replaced shopping carts with versions that better fit its product range, with large windows and flat tops designed to easily accommodate wall art.

“We’ve made departmental changes throughout the store to make it easier for our customers to find what they’re looking for,” Sullivan said. “Throughout the park, there will be an expanded carpet display, allowing customers to quickly scan the selection and find the perfect size for their room, whether it’s an apartment hallway or a spacious living room.”
“We change them frequently throughout the year and hope to inspire customers with seasonal and trendy products,” he said. “They offer design ideas for every room in the house, including the living room, dining room, bedrooms and outdoor patio.”
“We’ve found that some customers use our brand in different ways, some fill their entire home with furniture and decor, some simply purchase accent pieces to complement their home, and finally some zilari use us for seasonal trends to maintain their look. upgrade the home without breaking the bank,” he said. “With these sets of consumers in mind, we are expanding our product offerings to give these three types of customers many product options for their one-time, annual and seasonal purchasing needs.”
“I personally liked the original name,” he said. “As a native Texan, it was nice to have an affordable, quaint store named after and inspired by a small town in Texas.”

The store, formerly known as Garden Ridge, wants customers to know that it sells more than just outdoor decor.
The Dallas-based home decor chain has rebranded itself as At Home. In the past week, the store has changed its blue, gray and white colors, replacing the former Garden Ridge orange, said store manager Don Hazen.

According to the Dallas Morning News, the company tested a few stores with the new brand in Michigan and St. Louis, and is now rebranding the entire company. This year, it will spend $20 million to transform its 71 stores in time for the holiday shopping season.
Hazen said the change will include some “facelifts” to the store, including new paint and displays. The sole location is at 12990 West Center Road.
According to the Dallas Morning News, the average store size is about 120,000 square feet, larger than a WalMart or Target, and the stores sell items such as rugs, furniture and home decor items.

Garden Ridge is a warehouse-style store featuring tens of thousands of home goods, including furniture, pillows, rugs, lamps, wall hangings, baskets, luggage, bedding and homewares. works as a shop. It competes with retailers such as Bed, Bath & Beyond, Michaels and Wal-Mart, according to the business publication Dun & Bradstreet.
The store’s general manager, Jay Pagel, says the Garden Ridge concept is to provide “complete customization” for your home.
The Best Southern Decorating Tips Of All Time
“We really go into everything you can use to decorate your home — walls, floors, ceilings, everything,” Pagel said.
Despite its name, Garden Ridge is not a nursery or gardening store; it does not carry new plants, lawn mowers or trimmers, Pagel said. However, it does carry a large selection of pots and pottery, as well as garden decor and patio furniture. Other garden items are carried seasonally, such as hand tools and potting s
oil.
Garden Ridge has about 20 full- and part-time employees and emphasizes customer service for shoppers browsing its many aisles, he said.
Pagel said Garden Ridge likes the growth potential of Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak region — an area that has seen home sales and new construction increase for more than a year as the economy improves. The retailer also liked the growth of military facilities in the area, he said.
Titles, Questions, And Tutorials
Garden Ridge likes to go big-box, and the former Target store fits that profile, Pagel said. A limited liability company representing Garden Ridge purchased the Target property at 335 N. Academy Blvd. in late July for $3.5 million, El Paso County land records show.
Pagel said the store is about 101,000 square feet, although county land records list the building as about 128,000 square feet. Most Garden Ridge locations are 120,000 to 140,000 square feet, he said.
The chain’s arrival has bolstered neighborhoods near Central and South Academy, which the city designated as problem areas a few years ago, in part because of the loss of retailers along the corridor.
Target occupied the building from 1969 until it closed in February; at the time, Target officials cited declining profitability for the store closures. While the Target area has filled in, the former Circuit City store next door remains empty, except for seasonal uses such as selling Halloween merchandise.
