Home Depot Com Garden Center – Home Depot will soon be hiring associates to prepare for spring, the retailer’s busiest season of the year. Over the next several months, job hunters may apply for both full-time and part-time positions.
Several part-time positions will be employed at Home Depot’s garden center, which gives associates a chance to work with their hands and help neighbors start spring projects. In addition to these positions, the company is hiring for overnight freight, merchandising and other customer service roles in store departments, as well as warehouse associates for its distribution centers.

For several years now I have gone from store to store looking for quality, health and price of plants and have found that as long as it is not the end of season and the prices don’t drop, the best place is Home Depot!! My advice is to go early in the season for the best options
As a long term customer repeated bad experiences frustrate me on most of my trips. All I got when talking to customer service was a “we’ll let them know about your experience”. Wasn’t very helpful in resolving our issues.
I was at Home Depot in Mississauga on Mavis, I love when an employee goes above and beyond to help. I saw this guy help this elderly lady so much that I think he was going everywhere to show her the different products, but the store is so big that she can’t move around. I asked his name and told him what a great person he was, he smiled ear to ear and said I just think of my grandma and want to give that extra time. I have my recipient fill out my survey and note his name, I hope they tell him what a great job he’s doing.
This is our go to garden center every year! Amazing variety of flowers and colors! They have loads of different types of vegetables and decorations. Although, I did notice, some items were a bit more expensive than last season. (Though not everything now. *sigh* lol)

The place is huge with millions of items for home and garden. Lighting, bathrooms, flooring, doors, electrical appliances, electrical equipment – everything! I could have easily been lost there alone – but all the staff I asked to assist me were very kind and generously provided me with their guided assistance.
Will definitely go back to them again and again. Besides, you think it’s too much to pay for a once a year job by buying an expensive set of tools? No problem, just rent an equipment you need for 4 hours or 24 hours and win all.

I really enjoy shopping at the Home Depot Garden Center. They have a wide variety of plants for all of your gardening needs. I usually start planning my garden right after Easter. I start with greenery then rose bushes and vines like Clementis. Then the rest after Mother’s Day. Home Depot has everything I need to get the job done, including accessories and garden soil. I love the one stop shopping provided by The Home Depot Garden Center. The staff is very helpful and polite. A great place to shop.
I love the Home Depot Garden Center. You can always find me there first as soon as the last frost is over and spring is here! I love buying their various trees and putting them outside. They have all grown so much in the last few years. I buy bags of mulch by the pallet load and get them to deliver it. I usually get red or brown mulch. Their flowers are so nice, I try to get the pack of 18. I like to buy several different varieties and put them together for interesting and contrasting colors. I don’t do much plant shopping at big-box garden centers, although sometimes they’re nice to have a surprise. More often than not, though, their selection is less than exciting, and sometimes their plants aren’t healthy at all (see this recent post).
Last weekend I found that this should not be the case. For years I’ve been hearing rumors of Home Depot having a great nursery in San Rafael, CA. More than that, some Bay Area gardeners talk about it in almost reverential terms.
I thank my lucky stars every time I shop at my local San Rafael Marin County CA Home Depot nursery. The nursery is on par with some of the best nurseries in the United States. Charlie Rossi, who runs it, is a seasoned gardening veteran of the nursery industry. If you walked into ‘her nursery’ your eyes would pop out of their sockets. simply amazing. Why is this Home Depot garden center so good when so many others just straight up suck? Simple: It has a dedicated nursery manager who prides itself on sourcing the very best plants.
Last weekend I had the opportunity (or, rather, created the opportunity) to visit this famous place. Did it live up to the hype?
The first thing I noticed was the amount of space devoted to plants. In the picture above, you can see how many plants are outside the store – more than most Home Depots have inside their garden centers!
The selection of succulents was decent enough. Nothing exotic, but considering Southern California’s large growers, it’s not surprising that most plants don’t specialize in rarities. However, all the plants I saw seemed happy, healthy, and better maintained than usual.

In addition, the plants were arranged with a great deal of care and attention to what looked good. That’s what I expect to see at a full-service nursery, not Home Depot.
It was wonderful to see such a cornucopia of plants in the middle of winter (I know, it’s hard to think of it as winter when temperatures are in the 70s):
Despite the huge number of plants for sale, some tables were left empty. When they stock up too, I have to go back.
Home Depot Garden Center Reviews In Misc
I didn’t take a lot of pictures inside the “real” garden center because it looked like most Home Depots. In essence, the San Rafael Home Depot has the same kind of garden center as any Home Depot with a large outdoor area attached to the garden center and plants on display outside the actual store.
For years I’ve been looking for a reasonably priced Sansevieria trifasciata ‘Bantel’s Sensation’. Here they had half a dozen! (I didn’t buy any because I found one
last year at Poots Cactus Nursery.)
If I hadn’t gone shopping for so many plants recently, I would be loaded. Instead I limited myself to two plants: a tiny Sansevieria trifasciata ‘Moonshine’ (the grey-green plant in the middle in the picture above), and a swoonworthy Grevillea ‘Bonnie Prince Charlie’ (a cross between Grevillea rosmarinifolia and Grevillea alpina). hybrid):
One look at the flowers was all it took for me to know I had this Grevillea. It is already planted in the front yard. I don’t waste time these days because I hate hand-watering plants in nursery containers.

The nursery was busy when I reached there on Saturday morning. From what I’ve seen, it looks like it’s very popular with landscapers. I saw two guys go with four 15-gallon bamboos on a flat-bed cart. Heck, I’ve never seen 15-gallon bamboo in a Home Depot before!
