Home Garden Yangon

Home Garden Yangon – Garden House BNB is located in a relatively small and quiet residential area of Yangon, which is easily accessible by taxi. You can also visit Shwedagon Pagoda, one of Yangon’s main attractions.

The room we booked was spacious and very clean, with large comfortable beds and a spotless bathroom. They provided sleeping quarters and toilets. We peaked at their other rooms, which were just as well kept as the one we stayed in. Our room also came with a delicious breakfast, served in the garden restaurant.

We wanted to make sure we had our bus tickets before we started our journey from Yangon to Bagan, so a few weeks before we left for Myanmar, we emailed the staff at BNB Garden Home for help, and they were quick to help. with the purchase of tickets. Although we only stayed at BNB Gardens on the last day of our Myanmar trip (it was our only full day in Yangon), we had to get off Kuala Lumpur on the first day to get our bus tickets.

Large Colonial House In Kamayut

We arrived from Manila to KL and KL Yangon via two flights and two airports with a very sleepless night, and faced another 12 hours of transit, this time on a bus to Bagan. On top of that, we braved the heat of Burma on foot (rather foolishly, but how were we supposed to know?) in the hope of doing a bit of research before heading to Bataan. Suffice it to say, we needed a shower, but there was nowhere to do so as our time in Yangon was limited and we couldn’t get into the room before leaving for Bagan.

Luckily, we (embarrassedly) asked the BNB garden staff if we could have a quick shower in one of their spare rooms before leaving for the bus, and thankfully they agreed! We were very grateful to the staff for their help which made our long journey to Bagan easier. (Bagan was worth the incredibly long trip – check out our numerous posts on our 3 day, 2 night adventure).

For its location, convenient location and amenities, the rates at BNB Garden are incredibly reasonable. Truly, the hospitality and friendliness of the staff is priceless.

There are limited food options around the Garden House BNB, and the restaurant/bar inside the hotel has very little choice on its menu. If you’re planning to stay here, grab a bite while you’re in town before heading back to BNB Gardens.

Filipina In Flip Flops

Credit cards are almost unheard of in Myanmar, even at places like Garden House BNB. But they accept the US dollar, as well as the Burmese rupee, under the previous lax conditions. That said, it’s best to book and pay for your stay online, which we’ve done to save you the hassle of bringing extra dollars so we don’t have to hurt them during our trip. One thing to worry about when traveling is always a good thing. We booked our place for the garden BNB through agoda.com and it was a breeze!

Overall, Myanmar is experiencing an influx of travelers and the country’s tourism industry is still meeting the sudden demand for travel services. So book your accommodation in advance. Use agoda.com or hostelworld.com for great deals and discounts.
